Upgrade your HP Laptop / PC to TPM 2.0

According to Microsoft the Windows 11 OS required a TPM version 2.0 in order to get in running. The TPM 2.0 is normally installed in many newer devices (not older then 3-4 years). However in some older devices a TPM 1.2 might be installed which can be upgraded to TPM 2.0

However not every TPM Chip can be upgraded from 1.2 to 2.0. There are only a handful TPM Chips on the market which can be updated.

But, if you have a:

Infineon SLB9660 (which one after updated should change the name to SLB9665) [SLB 9660TT1.2, SLB 9660VQ1.2, SLB 9660XQ1.2, SLB 9660XT1.2]

The following TPM Chips couldn´t be updated from TPM 1.2 to 2.0:

Troubleshooting steps If the update isn´t working:

1.) Make sure that TPM is enabled in the BIOS

2.) Try to perform a BIOS reset (reset to factory defaults)
