RESOLVED: Error 0x80004005 when using OneDrive for Business

Abstract: When you try to sync a Sharepoint library via OneDrive for Business 2013 you might get an error 0x80004005.

Solution: The issue often comes from a damaged client cache, the only current way to fix that is to rebuild the local client cache via the following steps:

1.) Backup all files you have in sync!

If you use the default storage place all files would be in “C:\Users\%username%\OneDrive for Business”

2.) Stop OneDrive via the Taskbar icon

3.) Start the taskmanager (CTRL + ALT + ENTF) and kill the processes MSOSYNC.EXE and GROOVE.EXE

4.) Open the following folder C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\ and delete the folder “Spw”

5.) Delete all old files you have in Sync.

If you use the default storage place all files would be in “C:\Users\%username%\OneDrive for Business”

6.) Restart OneDrive for Business. It will ask you which URLs you wish to sync
